Easy way to flatter a person’s soul
Remember birth days - Technology and social net works make it easy to keep up with the birthdays of your nearest and dearest. it is easy to send out happy birthday wishes.  Take your contacting efforts a step further than sending an e-note. Use the old fashioned postal service. To actually have something in their hand not only stimulates their vision by reading it but also their since on touch by holding on to it. Go to the local market and buy a bunch of cheap blank cards that have a pleasant generic image on the front. Write happy birthday inside of all of them and sign your name. This is an appealing alternative to writing a long eulogy. to impress people. Showing them that you thought of them enough to pick out a card and write out by hand your happy birthday wishes for them goes to their gut faster than the speed of light. Especially if the person is past the point where they get elaborate annually birthday parties. Then when you see that your friend, foe, or collogue is turning another year wiser. Stick one of those babies in an envelope and send it off. Who do you do this for? Everyone. How many years do you do this. For the rest of their life? What if I no longer have contact with that person? Unless you are in jeopardy of getting hit with a restraining order or a harassment charge you should continue to send them a birthday card. When you run into that long lost colleague that you devotedly sent a card to, the first thing that will pop into their mind is the fact that you remembered them and show interest in the things that are important in their life…themselves.
